MS Office 2003 problem

Whenever I try to open Excel or Word it installs something or the other before it opens. What can I do to prevent this?

What is it trying to install??? It may be one of the install first time used apps that are available in Word and Excel.

Uninstall the whole Office package, then reinstall. should solve it.
That happened to me recently. It just kept installing the same thing, over and over... A fresh install fixed mine. Goodluck. --------------------  |

Artzelda, yes, it was one of those files MS apps install when you use them for the first time.
