Somewhat old news, but whatever. Copied the links and info from another forum, so here we go:

Bah. Bah. Bah. I'm pissed. This is bullshit. etc. etc. etc. I'm not too surprised, but it still seems completely outrageous. If I weren't able to nab legit copies through a family member, I would most definitely be getting myself a good ole' Windows Vista Pirate Edition. I honestly don't know who they think they are stopping. Imposing more and more restrictions just encourages more and more people to break them... and they WILL be broken.

Whatever. I'll be sticking with XP until the day finally rolls around when some new game only supporting Vista comes out that I must have... and then I'll cry for awhile as Microsoft's "new and improved features" like automatic dishwashing interfaces and quantum-enhanced directory renaming processes eat away all my RAM.

Hmmmm... it may have been in the XP EULA (though I don't think so... too lazy go searchin), but XP took no active stance in preventing it. Some people say they have problems with tryin to reactivate after reinstalls if they do it too often, but doing it over the phone always works regardless.

Windows is a reflection of Microsoft, a fat bloted pig. With every new release it just eats up more and more resources, and makes you computer run like ass.

I'll be sticking with XP as long as I can too.

100% agree.

As it's looking now if I want to run Vista plus any games I will have to upgrade to 2 gig of ram, when currently on XP I have NO problems with current games and 1 gig of ram.

The only time I will bother upgrading is when I feel it is necessary or a game I REALLY want to play requires that much ram or requires direct x 10. ( :( )
