i've been looking into tivo's and now that the 40 hour is only a hundred dollars, i think i just might get one.
but, i want to back them up onto my computer, so i need a video capture to do it anyone have any suggestions? i need a cheap one, not an expensive one like that dazzle |

hiya metroid010,
cheap video capture devices are fine providing your not planning on doing any editing - the money for the more expensive devices basically goes into reducing the "render time" when your doing things in an editing package. quick question before we go any further though - are you hoping to connect the Tivo directly to your computer or are you going to have some sort of inbetween such as a vhs deck or dvd recorder?!
