I need help please, windows installer it doe's not let me install any new program or take any updates. tried fix-it xp did not work , tried system restore to before the problem started no good it is like when i start xcell it will give me an error windows installer could not be accessed. this occurs if you are on safe mod (wich i am not) or if windows installer is not correctly installed. i could get new windows installer from microsoft but it will not let me istall it or do any updates from microsoft access denied.
please someone help me.

you could try to take ownership of every file on the computer.. tho this messes things up a bit on its own, so just start with the whole program files folder. and then try to see what kind of rights you have for the files that are on the windows folder. might be that the rights have been messed up for some reason.. might save your winstallation so its worth to check out :)
