Somewhat old news, but whatever. Copied the links and info from another forum, so here we go:
http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9590_22-6126379.html http://download.microsoft.com/documents/us...53f722371fa.pdf QUOTE 15. REASSIGN TO ANOTHER DEVICE. a. Software Other than Windows Anytime Upgrade. The first user of the software may reassign the license to another device one time. If you reassign the license, that other device becomes the “licensed device.” Bah. Bah. Bah. I'm pissed. This is bullshit. etc. etc. etc. I'm not too surprised, but it still seems completely outrageous. If I weren't able to nab legit copies through a family member, I would most definitely be getting myself a good ole' Windows Vista Pirate Edition. I honestly don't know who they think they are stopping. Imposing more and more restrictions just encourages more and more people to break them... and they WILL be broken. Whatever. I'll be sticking with XP until the day finally rolls around when some new game only supporting Vista comes out that I must have... and then I'll cry for awhile as Microsoft's "new and improved features" like automatic dishwashing interfaces and quantum-enhanced directory renaming processes eat away all my RAM. /rant -------------------- You can win a thousand battles but you can still only lose one.
