Hey, I am trying to get my desktop up and running, but for some reason the system slows to a crawl.
it is a AMD 1.2, 768md sdram, 30gig hd, radeon9000 pro. in the taskmanager, two things alternate between the 99% of CPU usage. Services.exe and lsass.exe any ideas why? -------------------- "Scenes change before my eyes

No Bloodshot, that's not true. At least you tried though. :) Services.exe is the Services Control Manager: it's responsible for starting and stopping system services. It's an essential to the operating system, so don't turn it off. LSASS is the Local Security Authentication Server. It verifies the validity of user logons to your PC/Server. I would also advise leaving it alone. Not sure why either is running at 99% though. Unless it has something to do with your router prob Boss. Sorry i can't help more, but I hope this is some help. ~Bear This post has been edited by Bearsland: Apr 21 2004, 03:41 PM |
