Hello everyone , I am thinking of doing some video edditing for Home and Wedding packages but its gonna be mostly for wedding so i like you the Pro's to lead my to the right direction before i start.
Like which edditing software do i need something with special effects and CG , and which ones are good to make DVD, and which ones to copy home VHS to DVD all this stuff. please Needed this info ASAP. thanks for all

^ a good call tbh, the matrox cards are the best at the moment (and with the launch of the HD capable cards should be some some time to come!)... if your looking to start small i'd bypass the rt.x100 for the time being and get the cheaper rtx.10. it still comes with premiere pro or 6.5 depending on your retailer which will be a great editing solution for what your doing. the matrox card also comes with a bunch of those "effects" your talking about in real time (ie. a composited heart so you can put the happy couple inside of it etc...).

audition is basically cooledit rebranded so if you can find an old copy of cooledit 2k pro on ebay thats a cheaper option again.

also to keep costs down still further i'd be tempted to push you in the direction of DVDlab:

it'll do everything you'll ever want to do in terms of dvd end products. if you have any spare cash i would purchase either tmpeg or something similar as the hardware encoder isnt really worth the cash for videos shorter than an hour with relitively few effects.
