I just need a program that would let me keep my Windows XP NTFS Partition aroun (but shrink it) and have me set up my Linux partition. Any pointers to what to look for (bearing in mind im broke)? -------------------- A British company is developing small computer chips that can store music in women's breasts. I believe Partition Magic does offer a demo version, but it doesn't allow you to do any partitioning wtih it. So it's really only any good if you want to look at its UI. A complementary product I found called Ranish Partition Manager is free ware and should do everything you need it to. (make sure you read the FAQ / readme's before doing anything though!)

A short blurb on Ranish Partition Manager:

The readme says it can work with NT partitions, I'd just make sure you've checked all the documentation to make sure it can do what you want it to do. Also there seems to be an active community working on it / supporting it / building howto's so yeah, it sounds like it could work well for you.

BTW, also try XOSL Boot Loader to load b/n different OS's. it seems to be user-friendly enough.
