I cant get sound to work in my RedHat.... I use a Sound Blaster 16....
My mobo has onboard sound that has given me problems often so i havnt used it for ages - this MAY be causing some conflict. Also perhaps the soundcard detection may be flawed as I am using the Publishers Edition of RedHat 9 -------------------- A British company is developing small computer chips that can store music

does dmesg give any output related to sound? If not try running kudzu.
