Personally, I use AdAware Pro, SpySweeper and SpyBot in combination. I am not prepared to use MS antispyware at this point!

The M$ product is actually pretty good. It found things Adaware Pro & Sybot S&D 1.3 didn't find on my system. And the SypNet Anti-Spyware Community is a great idea - something other anti-spyware authors should have done long ago.

From what I've been told by a few people, the current BETA is picking up quite a few false positives i.e. reporting a file as spyware that isn't actually spyware. .... like Flashget for example

It reports Flashget because Flashget originally came with spyware/adware. It reported Flashget for me as well - it doesn't say anything about getting rid of it - it's more a warning.

I'm likeing it .... it seems to be (in standard Microsoft fashion) very intergle with the OS. i purposly installed some spyware to see if it could fix it and it cleaned it right up (ad-aware and spybot both had to do multiple re-boots to clean the smae programs)

Guys .. I've been using this for about a year when it was Giant Anti Spyware .. The MS Beta 1 is the latest version that Giant was offering. I personally think it's the best anti spyware program out there .. There's no such thing as a False positive .. If something is flagged, then you have the ability to ignore that entry from future scans. I think the agents are powerful and perform their job with competence. I've read the recent reviews .. Which is funny .. Great reviews when it was Giant, and semi positive reviews now that it's MS .. Go Figure

I agree with Forbin. I have tried it and it finds more spyware than the others mentioned in the other posts in this thread. But I wouldn't use it alone. I think multiple programs that do similar things is the best approach. I just feel that one shoe does not fit everyone.

Lol *JK* Year from now, "Spywear found on partition" explination "You have linux installed on your system, this can be a very big security risk."

haven't given it a try yet though, but on a serious note i have been hearing some good things about it, and with MS's backing one hopes that the software can be improved even more.
