ive contemplated a tattoo but havnt gone through with it yet.
I do have some questions How much DOES it hurt? Does it just numb after a while? and if you plan on losing weight in the near future, is a tattoo a bad idea? (as for malformation of the tattoo) -------------------- A British company is developing small computer chips that can store music
in women's breasts. This is considered a major breakthrough since women complain about men staring at their breasts and not listening to them. |

I bit the Bullet when I was 18 and got 3 :)
2 of them are a part of one, its a dragon looking thing jumping though my back and coming through the front Will get some pics soon and the other is good ol chinese symbols on my right ankle meaning 'Courage' The pain, well its bareable depending on where you get it, my ankle hurt like crazy because its a bit closer to the bone, back was great sure it hurts but not the sorta pain you break down in tears to(keeping in mind its my upper right back) and the front, the closer it gets to your nipple, the more you know about it :) Then you wait a few days for it to settle down as it tends to be a slight burning snsation for a while. Im the same not a piercing fan. ~Haroc -------------------- |

I don't see it happening, but I dig that mantra that you had, Blue_Muppet. I once toyed with the idea of getting Boba Fett's skull symbol tattooed on my forearm, but I'm not big on the whole "rest of your life" commitment to one of my geekisms.
As far as piercings - no chance, no way, no how. |

I have a shamrock on my arm, and a celtic cross on my neck. The cross was done with a home made gun and a guitar string.
I also have two piercing in my left ear. I still want more of both. |

I believe that BMs Mantra is this....
oM ma Ni padme hUM THere is no real correct translation so i have heard.... or read... but something like... meaning, "Hail to the Jewel in the Lotus." The Jewel in the Lotus: a fairly simple phrase, but as with most Eastern philosophies, there's much to be learned from this. The Jewel in the Lotus basically means that wisdom and compassion are within us all, like pure seeds blossoming and unfolding within our own tender hearts. at least that i swhat i found out. -------------------- "Scenes change before my eyes
Doesn't matter what I try Close my eyes they disappear Open wide, and they reappear" |

I'm thinking about getting a tatoo someday... I don't know. I'm just afraid that I'd pick something that I would regret later (thus making the permanent aspect of it a bit scary). As for piercing... meh. Both my ears are pieced. I really don't mind piercing and could go for an eyebrow or lip ring (I'll pierce pretty much anywhere EXCEPT my tongue... that's just disgusting IMO). Bah, just more things on my To-Do-In-Life list, lol.

I dont currently have any(tattoo/piercings) right now, but I plan to get at least 1 tattoo this summer.
I'm still working on my idea...it will most likely have 1 or 2 monkeys in it, and I'm debating whether or not I will have my sign on it (Libra) I am also not a fan of piercings...so I will never have any :) -------------------- |

great stuff guys, i was hoping that there would be some freaks here, and i was right baby yeah! :D Pik: man, it hurts, but lots of shit hurts, so its not like you'll be screaming in agony. its mroe like a cat scratching sunburn for like 45mins +. Firewiz: pretty much what Boss said is spot on. it says: Om Mani Padme Hum
Om: purifies bliss / pride in the realm of the gods Ma: purifies jealousy / lust for entertainment in the realm of the jealous gods Ni: purifies passion / desire in the realm of humans Pe: purifies stupidity / prejudice in the realm of animals Me: purifies poverty / possessiveness in the realm of the hungry ghost Hung: purifies aggression / hatred in the realm of the hell
so, um ,yeah...there ya go :) um, spidey, dont get one in summer. You gotta keep it out of the sun and out of salt water for at least 3 weeks after you get it done, and then protect it like hell from the sun for the first 3 years, lots of suncream etc. :) -------------------- |
