I don't know how many of you like this sort of thing, but someone has built a 300lb scale model of a B-52 (aka known affectionately as a BUF -- Big Ugly F***er) including miniature jet engines (8 of them) from a British company -- pretty cool attention to detail!
(IMG:http://www.wren-turbines.com/B52003WEB.jpg) There are 4 videos at this mirror location (the "Takeoff" video shows people in the shot next to the model for the relative size): B-52 Model Flight Video All 4 videos total are about 7.3MB. (The original video site was hammered into submission.) There's more on the engines at this site: B-52 Model Engine Site There's also a story over at slashdot.org on this: slashdot.org story I'd love to see one of these models flying low-level down the street... captbics -------------------- O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
