Hey guys,

well im back on the net (56K) till begining of next month then a nice phat 1.5mbit connection, then in may a nice 8mbit connection so i'll be sweet. I bought myself a new laptop today, new PowerBook G4 with Mac OSX 10.3.7. Nice little 12 inch beauty. I'm now working on a new site, away from nForums. Only a couple of members know about it and keeping it that way till august being site launch. That all said i won't be on here nearly as much as i used to be 2 years ago. I have my girl now, 1 year together so that takes alot of time in my life. I'm still studying, and working. So things are going well at the moment. So yeah, there's the partial update. I'll be resigning up with a new name as this one is dead history. Too many people have it in their contacts etc, i signed onto MSN today for the first time in a year and i was swamped by like 30 people all yelling and shit in big caps, so yeah, i'm over it. Enjoy yourselves boys and girls and don't do anything i wouldn't do.

BM sending u an SMS tomorrow, my 21st coming up and ur invited, along with half my uni ;)

/me takes the chalk brush and wipes the slate clean for the man with no name. then proceeds to sponge down the board and squeegy it. It now sparkles.

iinet are currently putting them into action (8mbit) in areas where they have their own DSLAMs. It's the maximum speed of ADSL1. A few other providers are following suit. I believe iinet have decided to make 1500/256 their minimum plan. I believe the download limits are still quite low with some at 12Gb peak/ 12Gb offpeak though.
They've already equipped their DSLAMs for ADSL2 so once that is approved for Australia they can "theoretically" provide connections at up to 24mbit.

Only problem I can see with these huge increases in speed, is getting someone to provide the data to you at the same pace that you can download it. On my 1500/256 I occasionally see speeds between 140-160kb/s, but most often between 60-80kb/s. So if I had a 8mbit, who besides major companies like microsoft could actually upload to you that fast.

Hey Krip, as long as you don't come back with a name of just a symbol like Prince did!

well.. I have that problem of having connection to where its hard to get enough data from elsewhere (100mbit) ;) but its still nice since you can get multiple files at the same time without the hazzle of one download slowin down another one (of course the intra-net downloads are something else but in general from the net) :) there's never enough speed hehe :)
but anyways.. welcome back, and good to hear things are going well with ya :) remember to tell us on what name we will know you, o' great one
