This seems like the right place to put this.
I have bunch of digital still photos and when I crop them the resolution decreases dramatically tosuch an extent that when I print the photos I get pixilation. The original photo prints perfectly. Cropping does reduce the file size. Is there any way I can crop a photo and maintain the resolution so when I print it the fina print does not come out fuzzy and with some pixilation. |

A couple of ways ... the easiest is to re-size the image (before you crop) to A higher DPI say from 150 to 300 ... then use unsharp mask to "clean" it up. The do it again ... same process .. double DPI then unsharp mask it ... by now it a HUGE ASS file .... crop .. then either re-size or just print from the new file ....
OR .... Use "Genuine Fractals" to re-size it and then crop and print ( my prefered method) Peace -------------------- ![]() |
