Hey.
I just purchased a LiteOn SOHW-832S.
http://www.liteon.com/prod/getProduct.do?x...id=1_7_6&pid=74

I currently use Nero 6 Ultra Edition or ConeCD 4.3.1.7 for most of my CD burning, but I don't have any experience on the DVD end of things.

So I'm wondering which is the best software to use for copying DVD movies?
Also, should I be using DVD+R or DVD-R?

I'll have to do some reading up on this, but any shared knowledge from you guys/gals would be appreciated.

I used DvdXcopy Express; very happy with it. It only copies the title track of the movie; so no menus etc; but then that was a plus to me. Haven't run into any quality issues yet with compression; and everything has fit onto a single dvd.

Before that I used a combination of different tools and it was a headache so I really appreciated the ease of use - start program, insert orginal dvd, let it make an image file, put in blank disk when it asks.

Cool, I'll check it out.

What about for watching DVD's on my computer?
The writer came with "Power DVD 5" and "I Copy DVDs 2".
