From Slashdot...
QUOTE

GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual filesystem around your Google GMail account, allowing you to use GMail as a storage medium. GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google GMail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your GMail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag'n'drop files to."

Don't forget it's all in beta mode at the moment. Looks like it could be quite handy for broadband users. I'm thinking secure-off-site-storage-for-nothing kinda handy.

Have fun!

Make sure you read the fine print with regards to Gmail. They openly state that you freely give them permission to access and read the mail and content you save there and use it for their own means if they wish.

I thought that was caveated by a 'for automated systems' kinda thing?

Maybe somone should consider an automatic encryption algorythm to the uploads?
