I just installed 2 OS's on 2 differnt partitions on my comp.
The default OS that boots is not what i want to be... how can i change this, and is there anyway to fully customize my boot screen? (such as os names at the boot menu)

Boot.ini - located in your root directory - holds the answers
Mine for example is as follows:
[boot loader]
timeout=20
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(4)\WINXP
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(4)\WINXP="Microsoft Windows XP Professional F Drive" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional C Drive" /fastdetectWhere timeout equals the time that the menu is displayed before booting your default operating system. This can either be edited directly via notepad or changed using a bit of software such as TweakUI. Note that the file is generally hidden and read only (as it is a System File), so your attributes would need to be changed before you can see and edit it manually.
The sections I have made
bold represent what each item is listed as on the boot menu

In my experience XP has generally taken precendence over the others. Bootloader is located on the boot partition of your primary master drive (IDE0)

[boot loader]
timeout=15
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Studio Control Center" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Seye's Playground" /fastdetect
how do i set which is the autoboot?

I think that number is the key. Choose 1 or 2 and see what happens...
Never tried it myself though

The autoboot OS is the one listed after "default="
So,
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS will autoboot with Studio Control Center
and default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS will boot with Seye's Playground

FYI... there's a tool in Windows that helps a bit with this... if you right click on My Computer and go to properties, then Advanced, then Startup and Recovery, you can pick the default OS, and even launch your text editor to edit the boot.ini file manually.
