So I've been using Avant Browser for some time now; I don't think I could go back to Mozilla let alone IE. It sounds like MS is overhauling their browser; a lot of the changes seem inspired by Avant (pop up blocker/tabbed browsing/etc) so I shouldn't rule out IE I guess!

I recently came across another Avant look-alike called Maxthon and it got me to thinking what other browsers are out there that use the IE core technology?

Anyone use anything other than Avant-Browser? I tried firefox briefly but I rather quickly went back to Avant.

I swear by firefox. It's the only thing I'll use. It's absolutely awesome.

Firefox is easily set up and you can run it off just about any network share or USB disk if you have to go between work/uni/home.

Also,Bookmarks Synchroniser 0.9.6 allows you to update your bookmarks via an XML file you post to an FTP server.

But Wait, there's more! Now you can access ALL YOUR WEBMAIL from the browser using WebMail Compose! Now don't tell me that's not awesome!

Plus, heaps more Extensions and Themes to optimize your browsing experience

you could always try using msIE6 though... if you prefer.

Using Firefox for my main browsing, but I do still occasionally use IE, (never ever had probs with it).

Some nice security features in FF and I like the tabbed browsing. It's not perfect, still lots in it that I don't like, but it is getting better. I mean after all it is ONLY a browser.

I wouldn't describe it as 'awesome' or sit 'tossing myself off' over it like some of the kids/FF fanboys at Neowin do; it's quite sad seeing people get so worked up over something that's really only for looking at webpages. (You guys should pop over and have a laugh at some of the threads posted there about the IE/Firefox debate.) tongue.gif

I just thought I'd release my inner Tim Shaw. Every once in a while I feel like selling things... even if they are free!

But you're right... perspective is always a good thing.

Im an FFF (FireFoxFanboy). Before which i used Opera (which i still think does the tabs better than FF), before which i was IE.

Id take IE over my first browser however - old versions of netscape navigator

I use IE. Ive tried just about every browser out there & it always seemed that there was something I didnt like about it or it wasnt perfected yet. Like Bear said "I mean after all it is ONLY a browser".

Opera, with IE for those odd sites that don't work with opera

can't live without mouse gestures now, makes one handed browsing so much easier wink.gif

Agreed. Slace, the rules are 100 pixels high by 400 pixels wide for a sig. Please adjust yours accordingly.

For as long as I've had the internet I remember using Mozilla/some form of Mozilla. I do believe it was Audiyoda that told me to start using it way back when.

No real reason to switch to anything besides Firefox. It's fast, blocks a lot of bunch of bullshit you really don't need, tabs are nice addition.

MYIE2 I hear is pretty decent. I've tried using it countless times. There's just too many damned options in that thing.
