When nforums was gone? And how did you find you way back?

I posted on some other board...then by sheer lucky i accidently clicked my old bookmark and the page actually loaded.

pretty much the same thing.

i generally checked the link out every few weeks and one day to my suprise......there was a link to a temp board and I was happy as shit.

i think that was about 2 weeks ago.

well....I didnt do anything really..
The first 2-3 months i keept checking back everyonce in awhile, but i was one of the ones who went to the IRC chat room, and knew what had happend..so i wasnt expecting it to come back

I finally found my way here through Bloodshot, she told me about it like Right after she found out. and ive been here ever since

well basicly looked for other places to try and fill the gap. didn't work too well. I missed yea all. don't you guys ever leave me again.

then when the e-mails went out informing people of the temp board, well i was there

After months of checking the site, I did a Google search for nForums in case we had moved to another location, and it came up with a completely different and unrelated forum. Slace was there, and still had a link to the old nForums url in his sig (which is how google caught it). So I PM'd him to ask if there was any news about nFm reappearing, and he gave me the link to the temp boards.

I checked irc like a few days after we went down and ^ATOMIC^ told me a new site was being worked on. A few weeks later I got the link

I did what I always do... nothing at all. It wasn't until early January (the temp. board went up in December?) that Kilroy and Bloodshot informed me of the temp. board. I nearly died for those few months with the forum.

I waited, and waited on IRC for nFm to come back, until I decided to resurrect it myself (with the invaluable help of Wizz and DK).

I sat and cried the whole time... :-p

actually i never got into any other boards, I found me way from wingman, i got his msn,

I mostly jsut tlkaed to friends and stuff and played games :-p

registered on temp boards posted once in a while then i was post alot 1 days laters bAM nforumsDOTnet

i got bombarded with real-life problems, and massive internet connectivity issues, and then was back online, and Pimp, Wizz, and Dk had done the impossible and ressurected nFm

I was fooling around with videos and encoding. Even became a member of cdr/dvd forums which I don't regret. Then I went to IRC which I hardly ever did (I don't know what mysterious power took me there ) and I read thet nfm was back online.

mr pimp shoved me in the right direction on IRC...

I just played alot of games I never had time to try.

I spent most of my time on a honda forum.

When it went down, pimp and I started the temp so that kept me busy.

was on temp board, posted some but mainly just kept coming back for news.

was notified that new forum was up

For me the temp board someone, actually SproutMe IM'ed me about and last week or so I got a nForums.net is back online email in my boxcrash email.

I have been busy moving and fixing plumbing and painting and takeing down ghetto pools, and cutting attic doors and building plumbing access doors, and paving driveways and hanging lights and looking for mowers and holy crap............so much more and to add to it no internet or TV yet.............

Me Dutchkid and bears with couple others we hang around in IRC untill Pimp came out to me with his idea and Voila! nfm is back alive

Oh yeah thats right I messed with the XMods a bunch, 1/28th scale Remote controlled cars, I have one that goes about 40mph.

I also got a Audi that we plan to break its class land speed record with, rollcage, totally race.

actually studying for exams is something i should have done. but nope, didn't do that either

I kept in touch with Krip and Atomic after it went down. Atomic kept me informed about the progress of the site and everything while I was brainstorming some other project ideas with krip.

The day Krips new site was supposed to go online was the last day i talked to him, and I finally got to start on my projects. (Im am so freaking busy now its unreal) And then finally Atomic said here is the site.


Now im back, getting in the groove, now is time to start some havock.

I kept myself busy as moderator on a car forum, but I found myself spending a LOT less time online ... there was just no appeal to the net anymore. I would have some good conversations on our car forum, but nothing like the witty banter here. I also tried looking at BM's artwork on "phorm" to see if he'd completed anything new - but it just kept coming up with a directory (empty)
I had a quick chat with Wizz on IRC shortly after the board was taken down, he explained what happened and said to keep coming into IRC and things may happen .... when I thought nForums was gone forever I almost shed a tear.
I was lucky to be offered a new job, so I quit my old job and haven't looked back. I've been quite busy, but I love it!
