Ok, ok... I realize it's not free... but if you could afford 5 bucks a month, head to hostameg.com... I currently host through their original company, and have no complaints whatsoever. Actually, www.thehostingworks.com is who I use, and it's only $3 per month. Doesn't get much cheaper unless you go free -- and if you can't find someone who has the extra space, hopefully you can afford one of those. Good luck!

Hope that helps.

Okay, Radnoken, so I'm working in Australia. Tell me why I should use your service. (although it does look quite good on the web). I need to host at least one site, just a small identity-based one for family occasions etc.
I want to be able to maybe attach a small electronic ordering component to it / use it to learn how to host web sites / secure web sites / member logins / maybe some kind of forum system or something? What should I do? How do I go about doing it? and why should I pay you, rather than a corporate? (being a bit devils advocate, a bit genuinely interested, a bit giving you a chance to tell us why you're so great!)
cheers

As far as using an overseas server. If its a reliable high speed hosting provider, you will not notice a problem with delays. If you where using it as a game server, you might notice some lag, those are issues we are testing at this time.

As part of my hosting packing you get a client account user interface called CPanel. It has its built in funtions to automatically install ecommerce packages. I have a test site for that installed at
www.cynatech.com, that is just one of the ecommerce front ends available for you to use.
With CPanel we also provide an SSL manager. The SSL Manager will allow you to generate ssl certificates, signing requests, and keys.

This was started for people like us, that know what questions to ask, and what we are looking for. The servers have some of the highest recorded uptime (over 98% last i checked). With multiple processor cpu's (the server im currently selling for has 4 cpus), there are low resource usage. And one of the biggest problems using corporate servers, technical and general support. You will be communicating with someone well versed in the industry. Im currently in school going for a bachelors degree in computer engineering technology. And with all the communications formats i have available, about the only time you can't get ahold of me is if im in class or asleep. Although some people on here (not naming any names) have managed even to wake me up. If you know the meaning of my title here, along with the knowledge we can provide, then you know support will not be a problem.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Also I want to apoligize ahead of time for my commerical here on this website. If you have a problem with it, please let me know and it wont happen again. I was waiting to even mention until my site was complete, but i saw several hosting question arise, and well, you know.

Okay, one other question.
Do you have domain/subdomain hosting available? If yes, when I register my domain, are you able to handle registration of subsequent subdomains?

I do not do domain registration at this time. For now, it is still cheaper for the customer to register their domain with a registrar, then you can edit the namesever setting at the registrar for your main domain to point to my name server. Then i can handle all subdomains. I have no limit on the amount of subdomains allowed.
