People, my freedom of surfing has been limited at work. They've blocked adult sites, warez etc. I understand that i can solve this problem by changing something in the registry. Can somebody tell me what it is that i have to change?
optomos
What kind of setup do you have at work? Give some info.

It may not be blocked at the client level. Also, given that it is being blocked, it may also be logged. Like Optomos wrote, details would be helpful. Maybe an anonymous proxy would help.

What kind of info do you need? We are connected to a network and the computer dept. configures our computers and internet settings. However in some cases (like mine) they have by accident given more rights than we are supposed to have. So I can access my configuration, registry and IE settings.

You can try here:
Anonymonizer Proxies

Do you use Novell to login to your networks? If not, are the admins changing the settings in each individual comp or globally? Do you have access to an admin account "to login to the computer" If your answer to the first is yes than forget about it. If your anwers to the later is, yes & no than the only option you have is to try an anonymizer. Other than that, get an admin or admins login info cause thats the only way your going to change the settings on your computer because aparently they fixed their "accident".

Yes we use Novell to log in so i guess i can forget about it.

Yes mate. You have to change from looking at porn all day and start doing the work your employer is paying you to do. tongue.gif tongue.gif

Seriously though, I'd be careful now if they have started becoming more 'security aware' ; they may start checking up on people to find out who it is that has been abusing their system. You could end up fired. ph34r.gif

I pretty much agree with both of Bearsland's sentiments.
