If total immersion is the goal, this tools takes us one step closer. While primarily applicable is to flight sims and driving games and the list of supported games is limited at this stage, the impressive in-game film clips are promising.

Club Overclocker review (9.5 out of 10): "Gaming gadgets are always hard to summarize because so much depends upon the likes and dislikes of individual users. I have seen many great joysticks get thrown in the trash because of a button being too hard to press or the base was too big. Things like this are always wide open to interpretation and each user must make his or her own decision whether or not it will stand the test of time. This is most true with items like the TrackIR because the sensation is entirely mental."

Ars Tecchnica review (9 out of 10): "It is not too often that a new piece of gaming hardware works as advertised and does its job extremely well. It is an even rarer occurrence the product also revolutionizes the way a game genre is played. The TrackIR3 Pro does both. While the TrackIR3 Pro is an evolutionary product, the TrackIR hardware line has revolutionized the flight simulation experience and may even change how future first person shooters are played. If I had to assign a score based upon the above information and how well it works within games, it would be an easy 10 out of 10. Unfortunately, I have to dock the TrackIR3 Pro one point for software issues that have remained over the last several versions. These issues are fairly minor and should be ironed out in a future software revision."

They have a great idea & I like it but one problem. You have to turn your head. That is unatural....when looking at a monitor. In real life it wouldnt be but when looking into your monitor at such a close range its your eyes that move from left to right not your head; also when you turn your head it forces your eyes to move in that direction & thus takes your focus of the game. If they could use that technology & mount it maybe into a pair of glasses so it could move by the movement of the pupil.
