not sure if this is the right section to put this but please move if it's not

3d realms comes good
for what seems like 10 years or maybe we've been waiting for a certain team to release a certain game, and now, just when we'd given up all hope, they release two.
we're sure you'll be quite interested to learn that PCPP now possess a gold master of duke nukem forever and you might be even more interested to learn that we've been playing pretty much nothing else in the leadup to the games release on april 1st
the reveiw goes on to say that DNF is better than half life 2 but i cant help but think that this is an early april fools joke, has anyone else heard anything about the long awaited DNF or is it still a pipedream?

browsed to 3drealms and its forums.. accordin to what I saw there it seems its just april's joke (australian pc power or what it was that had it, they also had some other things told about duke that certainly aint true). Also, if it would have gone gold.. it would be reported at 3d-realms site, and the release date would definately _not_ be "when its done."

gawd I used to love playing that game....maybe some day they will modernize it.

If it is an "Early April Fools Joke", then that's about as lame as it gets .... April Fools Jokes are only actually funny if they're done on April 1st. If you can make a joke any time you like and just say it's an "early April Fools Joke", then what's it got to do with April? We might as well come up with the title of "March Fools Joke" to save all the confusion.

If it is true, then I'm happy. biggrin.gif

Ah... vapourware. The last bastion of the underperforming marketing departments.

I've seen so many cracks/jokes at the fact that DNF is never coming out that everything about it just seems old and stale now, lol.

Hey, but if we're lucky, we'll see some pre-alpha in-engine renders by 2012.
