Full Version: Favorite Beer
We've got lots of different kinds, but I like Heineken (dutch beer!!), Amstel (also dutch) and Hertog Jan (not sure dutch or belgium)

my favorate type of beer. hmm well it would have to be this nice smooth tasting beer that i'm having right now. hmm i don't remember the name. something like beer o root, or root beer. something like that
No real favorites - I will drink most any kind of beer - BUT - there's nothing like an ice cold Corona with a slice of lime on a hot summers day!
I like "lager" type beers like lowenbrou regular & especially the dark!! But I havnt been able to find it in the state I live in now. I also like ale of almost any kind. I dont like the dutch beers to much because they are to bitter but I will have one now & then because they are comparable to the toxcicity of dark beers

Anything will do. But I do have a taste for... what's it called... Oberdorfer Weiss (sp? German I think). Also, I think it's more of an ale than a beer, whatever that means (don't really care), lol. Other than that, I really don't care. Beer is beer.

This spring break that started last friday, I've had 6 40 oz Colt 45's, 1 Smirinoff (PUSSY BEER), half a bottle of Bicardi, Jack Daniels and a gallon of wine.

I have two favorites, after having tried more than 500 brews from around the world over the past 20 years:
Samuel Smith's 'Nut Brown Ale' has been a favorite for 15 years...

Sure you can!
Arrogant Bastard is brewed in Colorado, and is available in many places around the western US. I dunno about the east, but I tend to find it in specialty stores, quite a few smaller shops, and even some gas station "quik marts".
'Course it tends to cost more than $3.00US for a 25oz bottle, which means I only buy it for special occasions.

I have to aggree with Blue_Muppet on this one "Carlton Draught " is the number one beer. Nice taste and nice to drink i'd have a Carlton Draught over a "VB" anyday of the week.

Brooklyn Brewery's Brooklyner Weissebock (when I'm in NYC in the spring) otherwise I order Brooklyner Weisse direct.

Stewart's Brewing Company's Old Percolator Coffee Porter
And I'm on the same page as the other Spartan in the group, Arrogant Bastard Ale is a new favorite of mine.
