Okay. Heres my current setup. Ive got an 80 GB master running windows XP, and an 8 GB slave dualbooting to Mandrake.

I want a new hard drive, and I feel i rarely use my Linux so il be taking that drive out.

Do I need to delete the bootloader some how or will it be gone when I remove the drive?

It depends whether the bootloader was installed in the MBR (master boot record) or the first sector of a partition and also which hard drive it was installed on.

Assuming the worst, you can use your Windows XP installation CD to restore its bootloader.
