I have used some of these, i was wondering if you could make these not count towards post count.
Also, is it possible for an edited post to mean there is new info in the section? Or is only New posts?

not as far as i know mate, sorry. bumps are counted.

i just didnt want to have to keep adding a bump to a high request item after i add a new topic

I know of forums where a hack has been written where [edits] make the thread appear as though a new post has been added...

if its a high request item, maybe you could ask a mod to Pin it for you for awhile instead of bumping it. The Staff will do this anyway if they see something worth pinning, but it never hurts to ask...
