- Intel Core2Duo Extreme X6800EE (2,9GHZ)

- 4 x OCZ DDR2-800(PC 6400) 1024MB

- NVidia Geforce 8800 GTX 768MB

- Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme

- 2 x Raptor WD740AGD 10.000 / 75GB w. 16MB Cache in Raid (OS)

- 2 x Raptor WD1500AH 10.000 / 150GB w. 8MB Cache in Raid (Games)

- Watercooling for CPU(GPU is too new)

- Dual-Layer Burner Samsung

Do you think the game HDD has not enough Cache?

I know i bought a system a while ago btut it was fucked up, new games like DMoMM run with 10 FPS sometimes etc ...

Any ideas? I didn't buy it yet. But i will soon. So if you have any tips ... Opinions please ^^

Praise Allah, I envy you.

Anywho, I'm pretty sure you won't notice significant differences in game performance due to the cache size. Possible longer loading times or things of that sort, but it all just depends on what you can find for the money.

Praise Allah, I really envy you.

sounds swee-eee-eee-t =)
have you thought of what raid-mode to use ? propably 0 as the computer seems to be performance orientated smile.gif I would also go for an extra HD which isn't that fast but is big - main use being storage. but then again that is easily done with the plausible use of external HD's (I like Lacie myself - not that expensive either, 200e for 500gb @ usb)

Wow, seems my system isn't as bad as I thought, I got:

Intel 2,6 gHz CPU

1024 gb RAM

Geforece IIII 128mb graphics

HD 1: Windows 20 gb

HD 2: Emule 90 gb

HD 3: Storage 300 gb

I second Deepy on suggesting that you get a big HD for storage, it is very usufull...
Ratrap
Thanks guys ... I'll stick to it then. I thought about using my current HDDs as storage(1 x 300GB and 1 x 250GB).

I heared about an external HDD like a book, 500GB, do you mean that one Deep?

Hope this comp is doing it this time ... friends etc think i am crazy already tongue.gif

Guess it would be of similar use smile.gif
here's some links to what I thought of:

P.S. of course the ULTIMATE solution would be something on the lines of the following:

Buhuhu me wantz that hihihihi

But stuff like that is only available in U.S. don't want to import.

BTW Do you know how to use the 2 Lan ethernet Ports on the new boards? One is always deactivated. I want to use one for my DSL Modem and one to play Lan. The Solution somewhere posted didn't work the way i want to sad.gif

As far as I know it should work on its own, just pluggin both cables should be enough. Might need new drivers if they are very old tho. Or you to declare them to have different IP's or something. Try seeing how device manager see's them as ? they should have separate entries on the computer if they can be used together. Altho I do not see that much use for having two ports that you could only use one at a time.. (just redundancy on the unlikely). I assume you have confirmed that both socket's work ?
Ratrap
Yeah i thought so too. But you can't add a new Lan Connection to get a new IP. And if i type ipconfig its showing me just one adapter.

OOOOOOOK i will replace the CPU with:

- Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 2.66GHz LGA (Quad-Core!!!!!) $1,499.00

Ok, 500$ more .. ut .. quaaaad-coreee yippieee biggrin.gif
