Seems to be interesting movie but what you people have thought of it ? Dragons and magic sure seem good combination though. Is it worth going to cinema ?

According to what I have read, it's a semi-failed attempt to ride the Lord of The Rings wave...
It doesn't look too great to me, but then, I'm a sucker for fantasy, so I'll likely watch it anyways

Saw the trailers. Thought it seemed mediocre.
Read the reviews. They called it mediocre.
Then again, dragons + swords = entertainment. I'll probably nab it when it comes out on DVD.

I've read the book Eragon as well as the second book in the series, Inheritance, and I have to say, as a copy of the book, the movie just plain sucks. But on the other hand, once you've seen Lord of the Rings, its kinda of hard for anything to compare to Lord of the Rings in quality.

saw the trailers at the cinema and they just completely failed to comvince me to hand over my hard earned to see it. so i'm waiting the 6 months it'll take to appear on Sky.

I just saw this movie. The effects were good and the dragon looked cool, but the plot and acting was pathetic. The movie had potential, but it sucked ass.
