I found this referenced in one of the monthly newsletters I subscribe to -- a UBCD that will "consolidate as many diagnostic tools as possible into one bootable CD". In my opinion you can never have enough utilities at your disposal.
"After less than a year of operation, the Ultimate Boot CD set of save-your-butt downloadable utilities has become indispensable for thousands of savvy DOS, Windows, and Linux users. There's so much good stuff in this download utilities collection it's hard to know where to start. Windows and DOS users should grab the 44.7MB .ZIP file, which contains a self-extracting .EXE. Linux users should download the 101MB .ISO download. Either way, the idea is to burn these utilities to bootable CD. Visit the Ultimate Boot CD (UBCD) site to see all the cool open-source or freeware products available in the download."
The current version is 2.21, and the site is at:
http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/
There are .iso and .zip files as well as CD-label images.
The author has been trying to redirect his site to sourceforge.net, but has run into some problems. So have patience while he gets it working if you're interested.
There is also a Windows version of these utilities at http://www.windowsubcd.com/ that seems to be evolving.
