What game are you looking forward to? HL2 here
Yeah, I've been chomping at the bit to be Gordon Freeman again. Of course it looks like I'll be upgrading to a X800XT as well - gotta play it like it's meant to be played.
But that's about the only game I've been looking forward to. I've been trying not to keep my hopes up after Star Wars: KotOR was such a flop on the PC.

Doom 3 and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines for me. Other notables are Rome: Total War and Black & White 2. There's a bunch of other cool games that I also think I'll be looking into *cough* but too many to list here.

I never enjoyed the first game that much at all. I thought it way overated. I think the second one is going to be overhyped all the way to its grave. People are just setting themselves up for disappointment for this one, I think. Valve's never-ending delay also angers me. If you give a specific release date, stick with it... something they haven't done multiple times now. This, in turn, causes the push-back of HL2-engine-powered games... some of which I think are going to be quite a bit better than HL2 itself.... pisses me off. Yeah, yeah, all my points may be completely ill-founded and wrong. But I really don't care... I dislike the game and I dislike the developer... just a pet peeve of mine. Sorry if I've offended anyone or whatever.

I'm awaiting for Doom3 as well I sure remember how the screenshots from leaked alpha _SOMEHOW_ showed that ppl had their brightness turned to maximum...

I was so looking forward for FULL THROTTLE 2. But they pull the plug. I think the first one was a masterpiece.

Wow, someone else who knows Full Throttle!
I only played demos of the first but it was one of those games where I thought "Why do I have to be too young to mail order this damnit!"
It was a LucasArts correct?
I think i still have the demo on my Dark Forces CD (yes I have the origonal Dark Forces)

HL2. Twine, disappointed to hear about your view on Valve. I'm pretty pissed about the constant delays and rescheduling. I'm pretty much a fan, but wondering if Valve will actually be able to pull something off sufficiently impressive to justify the extra year or two they've taken in development.
I'm thinking that Far Cry-based games will be taking the jump on HL2. Still, from all the reviews I've read, it seems HL2 will be every bit as entertaining, riveting and life-consuming as the original.
Will wait and see.

yep, halo 2 for me too, but the demo they showed wasn't all that outstanding...
maybe cause i heard all that stuff was already gonna be there, and the guy talking was so stupid

Also though, the demos I have seen for the new Unreal 3 engine, holy crap!!!!

Real-time SSS, Transluencancy, GI,refraction levels, volumetric lighting, etc. Amazing engine and animations...sheesh I was blown away.

Damn Lucas Arts I looked up their website to see if the horrible rumor about Full Throttle being canned was true -- it is damn it-- and discovered to my horror that they canned Sam and Max 2. Sam and Max was my favorite game. it is very dissapointing to see they canned the sequel. Damn the star wars games i want sam and max!
