Hey,

I was using trend micro b4 for antivirus, and it was running great, but i just decided to switch to fserve. Fserve found 4 torjans that trend never detected. I would GREATFULLY stay with fserve... buit this damned thing is a memory hog and slows my comp down soooooo much. can anyone reccomend an alternative thats just as good if not better?

Did you mean for a stand alone computer? A server?

Some of the best antivirus software test results can be found here:

F-PROT did reasonably well and is very light on computer resources . . . runs fine on a dinosaur laptop that I have: Pentium 100 MHz, 40M RAM, Win98SE.

I use F-Secure on my normal use desktop.

Wow .. I always thought that Norton AV Corp did well .. but according to this web site, Not so well ..

Any recommendation on f-secure? 'Anti-Virus 2004' or 'Anti-Virus Client'?

I have been using F-Secure for about two or more years now. No complaints.

I've been using f-prot. It's the only program I'd use. It's very competent in my experience.
