God you would think that they have enough to do that they don't have to force their lifestyle on the rest of us. Let them live together and do anything they want, but Marriage -no. Only between the opposite sexes. I guess I am for gay marriage - a lesbian can marry a gay guy. There is a combination for you.

Yeah different strokes. By the way homosexual marriage has nothing to do with rights. If two people love each other then brother can marry sister, son can marry mother, etc. It is obvious the right to marry is not a right endowed by the creator because we are not created equal - only the right to pursue life, liberty and happiness -- all within societal bounds. Your pursuit can not infringe on me and I have a right to say what that infringement is. If more people agree with me then I win. (I don't mean me personally only'me' in the philisophical sense).
The US Declaration Of Independence does NOT say that all men are created equal, only that all men are created with certain inalienable rights - the right to pursue life, liberty and happiness in the context of societal norms. Even blacks were to have these rights and the US rid itself of this legal discrimination. THere is no legal discrimination in the US against any race or sex or ethnic group. HOwever individuals may harbor discrimation against some groups, but that is not illegal. Only if they try to prevent others from exercising there political rights. Since marriage is a political event, government has the right to regulate it just as it regulates who can vote. |
