nFm [ Level 2 ] Group: Global Moderator Posts: 395 Joined: 18-March 04 From: Germany Member No.: 21	Is there a way to lock a partition with a password? So when i try to open ehm ... "D:" it asks for a password? But need to work even after a reinstall of my OS. --------------------

nFm [ not leaving ] Group: Full Member Posts: 58 Joined: 20-June 04 Member No.: 120	HDD locking, this can be done on a HD just like the xbox HD's, disk has to support locking though and from what i have played around with locking I don't think you can do it specific to a partition, it will apply to the whole drive. As everyone has said though archiveing is your best bet, unless you have a backup media which can be encrypted/passworded.
