At last DVD write speeds are beginning to be reasonably acceptable! All we need do now is wait, and wait, and wait for the release of the appropriate high-speed media. According to THG though, most single layer 8x media can be burned at 12x on this drive. Nice! -------------------- |

Your right about the waiting part. Itll be a while before I invest in this technology but it does seem to be making progress quickly.

'Gotta agree, Sproutme ... with Pioneer 16x single-layer drives available for less that $100 and media readily (and economically) available, this is a great time for an interim upgrade.
