Wish i had the cash and time to play this game, from what i hear it sounds sweet, so tempting to get but must resist.

Only got a cheap fx5200 at the moment so not to sure how it will hold up.

How much time of yours life's is this title taking up?

Im saving for a comp upgrade, then plan to buy this... to celebrate its release i beat doom 2 for the first time without cheats. (that was the first game i ever played and hence cheated on)

I haven't played the game yet (not sure my old rig can handle it), but I ran across a link at neowin.net on some of the Doom III mods floating around -- like adding a flashlight to a pistol, duct tape, etc.

Here the link to the thread:

don't go the flashlight mod, takes away the fear factor. Its great that you have to make a chioce, either you use your torch or your gun, not both

Well I bought it the other day bros.
I was a little skeptical of it being able to running on my Alienware intel 1.8Ghz, 512 ddr-ram, G-force Ti 500 gfx-card. Its a few years old now buts been serving me well since i got it, back to the point though
I started it at the lostest setting it took it like a champ then i got a bit greedy went up to full blast and i was surprized that is was running pretty good at 20-30fps! with minor skipping and choppy-ness lol. well I beat the game in about 2 days and i was pleased with every minute of it except when i got stuck in a few parts and then got what i was suppost to do and hitting my self in the head later thinking why i didn't notice that the firsttime lol. Well if ya haven't gottten to the last boss, lets jsut say he is a dooooozy :-p

*Is now waiting for the MODS to roll on out :-p *

Edit: I forgot to say that the game scared the crap outa me playing with headphones on and at 12 o'clock at night :-p
and I also found that the mirros in the bathrooms were quite fun to mess around with lol seeing myself for the first time in a game lol :-p

Dang, the creepy feedback you guys are giving this game is going to make me want to go out and upgrade. Sounds good...

I think Slace may be right about not using the flashlight mod...sounds like a rush.
